It was validation of his talents and also of the team's decision to substitute Adi for Ruffell after their second place finish at XL4. We talked the man about his experiences of XL Summer 2008 and thoughts during the event.

(Questions in bold)
Congratulations on winning the Halo 3 4v4 tournament at XL4. What was your initial reaction, when you got that final kill against vVv?
It’s all kind of blurred thanks to jumping up into Shan’s elbow, but I suppose that action shows how great a feeling it was!
Obviously after XL4, The Incredibles decided to release Ruffell, and pick you up. Now technically being the best team in Europe, do you think their decision has been justified, or do you think you still have a point to prove?
I think I have proven myself as a top player since the Scar Tissue days of ’06; I just had a bit of a rocky start to Halo 3. However, I still strive to become better and always want to be at least one step ahead of the competition.

XL5 saw a new venue, Cranmore park. What were your first thoughts when you entered the venue, did you like the layout? Do you believe it to be a good move for XL?
When I first entered the venue I was shocked at the size difference compared to the previous venue, the NEC’s Toute Suite. It was a huge step up, so can only be a good thing for XL. I look forward to future events at Cranmore Park and hope that, in time, XL will expand to make use of the whole venue.
Which was your favourite series of XL5 that your team competed in?
My favourite series to play in was definitely versus TCS.waldbauer.com. They were the first good team we played, and we were too much in our comfort zone for the first few games and were down 2-1 at one point. We then realised we couldn’t take the match lightly and played at our full most potential to take the next two games in what can only be described as dominating fashion.
Was it your toughest match?
They were definitely a tough match, seconded only to vVv in the championship finals. If we hadn’t picked up our game halfway through the series, they would most have most likely taken the series.
What about spectating wise, what other two teams provided the best series?
Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time for spectating other series’, which is definitely something I would like to do more at future events. However, out of the very few I watched, I would rate the All or Nothing vs. Natural Talent series as the most tense match, and the vVv vs. TCS.Sweden series as the most entertaining match skill wise.
Did you ever at one point think that you weren’t going to win the event? Or was the confidence there all the way through?
The way I see it, you have to have confidence right until the very end. Thinking otherwise can only lead to you making stupid mistakes and losing games. Losing wasn’t ever a thought during the series, it only struck me how close it was in the moments after.
Which teams and players impressed you the most at XL5?
Baadshah definitely impressed me the most at this event. His individual slaying skill was phenomenal and I would rate him as one of the best European players right now. He has worked so hard over the years to get where he is today and it’s good to see it has paid off. Another mention would definitely be Zicknex, he is just a sick player all round. This little guy definitely has the best height to skill ratio in Europe ;-).
Also, you were part of a mixed vVv and Dignitas roster and won the WCG UK Nationals, how does it feel to be going to Germany?
I couldn’t believe it when I got my head around it! I can’t wait to represent the UK in November, it’s such an amazing opportunity, and we hope to do you guys proud!

What’s next on the Dignitas world domination list, MLG?
Where else? I’ve always wanted to go to an MLG with a fully prepared team. Even though Meadowlands 2007 was a great experience, it just wasn’t enough. We will be attempting to attend multiple events in 2009 and finally get European players the recognition they deserve in the States.
Finally, XL Autumn 2008, do you think you’ll come away champions again?
Yes.
Thanks for the interview, Adi.
Adi, along with teammates Baadshah, Heavenswrath and Singh, will be representing United Kingdom at the World Cyber Games 2008 for Halo 3 after qualifying to represent their country at i34. We wish them the best of luck in the tournament held in Germany, and hope they can bring home the gold medal to the United Kingdom.
